Greetings from Frog Hollow,

It's been a long winter here in the garden and a long time since we updated the website. When there isn't much to do there isn't much to say. As you can see in the photos, we had cold and snow in December and January (we're two miles back from the Pacific Ocean mind you) and we've had more rainfall than we've seen in quite a few years. During the first 2 weeks of March we measured roughly 15" of rain in ten days. That'll do.

But then the rain returned in earnest, new springs opened up in the garden, and the kale bed flooded.
All we can do right now is wait for the rain to slow and the ground to dry. The lengthening days are noticeable and welcome, and in a few months we'll pine for rain and curse the drought. Such is the plight of the immutable gardener.
