For some reason, November has arrived and winter has begun. It seems neither logical nor possible, but is apparently true. We had such warm and cooperative weather through most of October that our plants are still happily chugging along as though it were still late summer. Overall, it's been a good year. A month has passed since our last blog update and, as you see in the photo above, the garden has matured beautifully. We've had a couple of rough spots: an aphid infestation which began in the forest of seed kale and spread to the adjacent beds; and a mystery illness(s) in the spud bed we planted in April which has left the Kennebec variety nearly inedible.
